Bournigal Medical Center was founded in the summer of 1973 in the city of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and is the largest and most modern private clinic on the country's north coast. For generations, we have worked with a clear vision of creating a comprehensive health center that meets the health needs of the community and foreign visitors. In 1983, the Redondo family and a group of local investors acquired the Medical Center. It was then that the accelerated process of physical and technological growth began, positioning the center in a privileged location on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, while at the same time distinguishing itself with an important practice of emergency and hospital medicine for tourists. Tradition, longevity, and innovation. Although the physical structure remains true to its origins, it has undergone modifications that reflect the cutting edge, preserving within its walls the legacy of years of familiarity, love, and health. Three floors of "comfort" with 122 beds, but above all, one of its greatest values and sources of pride is its human resources, a staff of more than 1,000 direct and indirect employees, whose longevity has allowed them to develop a sense of belonging that enables them to consider their workplace as a home.
