Popular Bank

The Dominican Republic's leading private capital bank and a leader in commercial banking and financial services in the country. It is the main company of Grupo Popular. In 2014, it generated assets worth RD$276.606 billion. It was founded in 1963 and opened its doors to the public in Santo Domingo on January 2, 1964. It has around 200 branches and almost 900 ATMs throughout the country. It also has the most extensive network of banking sub-agents through Subagente Popular, which enables more than 1,000 businesses throughout the country to carry out certain banking transactions on behalf of Popular.
